Nigerian politicians are the best comedians ever!

Nigeria is a funny country really, very funny I tell you! Lets take this forthcoming general elections for instance, where in the world do you hear that people organise massive rallies, gather people from different states, make so much noise and disrupt the normal lives of the citizens they need votes from JUST to say they are organizing it to COMPEL one man to run for political office? 

How funny is that? If our country is not a comedy and our politicians aren’t comedians, why would someone in his right senses spend so much in publicity, visiting the same citizens they need votes from, make so much noise and gain support of the people JUST to eventually STEP DOWN for another person at the final moments? 

Why didn’t you step down in the first place? Who are you fooling? Why would you say this isn’t a funny country when a governor wants to become President, he picks his successor for governorship and then heads to the primaries where he predictably looses and he returns to his state to take back the governorship he gave out? Was it a game of “hold it for me until I come?” Isn’t it funny to hear that a huge national convention is put together when we already know who is your consensus candidate? 

Isn’t it funny to hear that two people declaring for the same seat go to different locations and vote themselves winner? Same seat, different people. Isn’t it hilarious that a state is under serious attack; bombs everywhere, death toll rising and the governor of the state is in a National Convention vying to become President when he cant even oversee his own state? Shouldn’t we be laughing when we hear that the Number 4 man in Nigeria leading the Green Chamber wins the Governorship slot of his party and he still sits in the Green Chamber? 

You can’t say this country is not a bunch of hilarious mishaps when one rich man who shouts CHANGE FOR NIGERIA and all that and he still goes around giving delegates dollars to vote for him in the primaries? If a country has politicians that operate ANYWHERE BELLE FACE and political parties that operate AT ALL AT ALL NA HIM BAD PASS, today you are trying to win governorship with PDP and you loose, you jump to APGA or APC and they welcome you with open arms. Who is fooling who?
