Of Pastors & Posters

I have seen posters and you too have seen posters of disgracefully titled "Church Programmes" that are so absurd that I cant even mention them here. Its now the butt of jokes across sub-saharan Africa now and comedians are having a field day. I wont blame them, its funny to look at and you will also agree too. 

What bothers me is why most new generation pastors cant preach about any other thing other than POWER, KILL MY ENEMIES, PROSPERITY etc? What happened to teaching about Love? Integrity? Morals? Honor & Dignity? How come nobody is teaching the Gifts & Fruits of the Spirit? 

Who will tell the politician to fear God and do as they promised the masses through elections? Or the market-men & women to be honest and charge the right prices on goods? Who will admonish the policemen in the congregation to carry out their jobs with a human face? Or tell the deceptive artisan mechanic, tailor or carpenter to have integrity in their dealings? Are the bosses of leading public & private organizations not members of these churches? Cant they be told to be professional in the discharge of their duties and pray less about enemies in the office trying to take their positions? 

Is it possible to talk to wives and mothers who spend most time in these churches doing "the Lords Work" about how to handle their families the way the bible teaches? Or the husbands on how to treat their wives and kids? Is there any programme poster we will see that talks about being a good neighbour? An honest business partner? A good Staff? A great student? An impactful lecturer? A transformational politician or society leader?
Where are the posters that could show things like these? 

Where are the pastors?
