The Wizkid Beef Company

Wizkid (Baba) is in the news again and thanks to bloggers who have nothing else sensible to report; for the wrong reasons. again! Maybe its his life or the strategy his PR Team suggested to help boost his ratings. Its seemingly impossible to hear Wizkid's name mentioned with anything charitable or peaceful or civil either. After his album "SuperStar" which actually impressed a few of us and began giving him the attention from industry watchers as a strong force to reckon with, it became obvious that with the meteoric rise from the streets of Ojuelegba to the penthouses of Lekki, Wizkid had been able to manage his adversity to riches rise, but not his riches to stupendous wealth transition.

It is a common phrase among high risers "You cant go anywhere in life without stepping on a few toes". Wizkid has not stepped on a few toes, he is stepping as the days go by! Some are small steps, other are big thumps! Starting from his benefactor Banky W and the saga of EME or no EME or the sacking of his manager turned Waje's manager or the beef with ace producer Samklef, or Legendury Beats or with Saeon over the amount for collabos or on and off war with his age mate and rival Davido which to me is the figment of some bloggers imagination.

Now its his former label mate Skales. I dont even want to bother about what beef they have with each other, because if you check it closely you would realize how futile it is to try and get involved when two young people fight over mundane things. I mean, how can one settle boys fighting over who is better between CR7 and Messi? Whats the use? Why are we talking about this for heavens sake? If its Wizkid that cooks the beef or someone else seeking popularity cooks it for him is none of my business! We try so hard to copy western culture in our reportage and we do a mess of it! Justin Bieber is grossly unpopular now and his beefing story is almost similar with Wizkids, i'm guessing we can read the possible end of that story cant we?
