THOUGHTS ON SUICIDE
You battled through Primary to Secondary School, scaled over Junior and Senior WAEC, NECO, GCE and the dreaded JAMB, reached the cut off, scaled through Post-JAMB and got into a University (And by the way, millions of students are running to Extra Lessons and Special Centers as we speak). You scaled first, second and perhaps you are in third or Final Year.
You went past all that when many have fallen and all of a sudden, some wicked voice inside you tells you to commit suicide? Are you serious? Why didn't the voice tell you that at the beginning? What's so bad that would warrant that you end your life after fighting all the battles mentioned above? Have you ever heard of a football player who retires from football a day before playing in the final of the World Cup or the final game of the Champions League?
This is life, it's a battle field, we will fight today, we will fight tomorrow and the day after. If we could win yesterday's fight, we can take on that of the next day. That's what makes us hopeful. We solve our daily problems because we have hope for a different tomorrow.
Don't give up, wait and let's see what the rising sun has to say about the new day. There is more to tomorrow than we got today. Suicide does not chase the problems away, its not the best way, its not in anyway the way. Don't take your life because you didn't create it. Live and Live some more, you are needed in the race, don't leave your lane empty.
Please.
